Product Description

The Pronto USB IR Blaster Kit is a complete solution for transmitting Pronto Hex Infrared codes over USB. The Kit consist of Arduino-like Atmega328 board and the Irdroino shield, equipped with two high power IR Leds for assuring wide angle extended range IR transmission.

The Irdroino Pronto USB IR Blaster Kit will allow you to send Pronto HEX IR codes over USB from PC, Mac, Android, Raspberry Pi or any other system that can communicate via serial USB ACM.

To send a Pronto HEX IR code you will need to open a terminal and issue the command “SEND”, followed with the target Pronto HEX code that you want to send. There are free online Databases with thousands of supported devices that provide Pronto HEX codes for most of the TV Brands available on the market.

In Windows you can download Putty, or any other serial terminal application, connect the USB Pronto IR Blaster to your PC and locate the serial port that is automatically assigned (on my system it is COM15 ). Then open the serial terminal application ( Putty ) and add the com port number and baud rate 9600,8,n,1 . Then issue the command below, which will send an “ON” command to a Samsung TV.

Example Samsung discreate ON command:

“SEND 0000 006D 0000 0022 00AC 00AC 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0689”
